All editorial content, photographic images, video footage and graphics are protected by UK copyright and international treaties and any violation of copyright is strictly forbidden and will be pursued to the maximum extent possible under the law. Express written permission must be obtained before using any editorial content or imagery from Join the Scots which reserves all rights.

Any member deemed to have posted a link to a third-party website that is threatening, embarrassing, abusive, harassing, obscene, hateful or otherwise inappropriate will be banned sine die from the Join the Scots social network..



USAGE OF FEATURES

The Join the Scots social network contains a number of services that allow members to add or post their own content. These include, but shall not be limited to, blogs, video albums, photo albums, discussion forums, electronic cards. Members are entirely responsible and liable for all activities conducted through usage of these services. We shall not be responsible for any content created on our site. Any member deemed to have posted content that is threatening, embarrassing, abusive, harassing, obscene, hateful or otherwise inappropriate will be banned sine die from the Join the Scots social network as will any member deemed to be using our services to send such content to another member or non-member.

Users must not send anonymous eCards or eCards with fake sender email addresses. Any member deemed to have done so will be banned sine die from the Join the Scots social network.

Users must not add any copyrighted images, music, wording or other content to the Join the Scots social network unless they own the copyright or have obtained written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Any member deemed to have done so will be banned sine die from the Join the Scots social network.

Members must not use the eCard service to send eCards to people or other entities on mailing lists and usenet newsgroups that they do not have full rights to use, nor send eCards to people or other entities with whom they are not acquainted. Sending multiple eCards with advertising content will be considered a contravention of these terms and any member deemed to have done so will be banned sine die from the Join the Scots social network. IP addresses are captured when an eCard is sent and these will be made available to the appropriate authorities in the event of serious violations.

We shall have the right, but not the responsibility, to remove any content which is deemed, at our sole discretion, to be in violation of these terms.

Members are encouraged to report any misuse of our features to our admin staff by emailing admin@jointhescots.com.



ONLINE STORE

General

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability of the goods ordered. We reserve the right to refuse any order placed by you and we will not be liable for any costs incurred by you as a result.

Delivery

We will normally dispatch goods to you within 7 days of our acceptance of your order. We will inform you immediately of any delays. Please note that if you reside outside the European Union you will be responsible for any taxes payable in that country.

All dimensions specified are approximate only. As no two monitors are exactly alike, some colours may also vary slightly from the way they appear on your screen

Your Right to Cancel

Orders may be cancelled at any time prior to dispatch by emailing cancel@jointhescots.com. If the goods have already been dispatched, the returns procedure below will apply.

Returns Policy

Customer satisfaction is our main priority. All our goods are comprehensively inspected before dispatch. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you have the right, under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, to cancel your order by emailing returns@jointhescots.com within 14 days of receipt, stating the reason for your dissatisfaction. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us and you will be refunded the initial cost upon receipt of the goods in perfect condition. We will have no further liability.

Purchasing

Online shopping with us is perfectly safe. Safeguarding your financial and personal information is paramount and that’s why all sensitive information sent from your computer is automatically encrypted. At no point will anyone at Join the Scots see your card details while processing an online transaction. All in-transit information is protected by SSL with an encryption key length of 128 bits (the highest level commercially available). Your personal information is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. To further shield your card details, the firewall-protected servers storing them are not directly connected to the Internet.

JURISDICTION

These terms are governed by Scots law and any disputes will be settled in the Scottish courts.
